Financial Consulting

The core mission of Dental CPAs is to provide ongoing practice management and financial consulting services using our vast experience and knowledge of the operations of a dental practice, whether it’s a general dentistry practice or a specialty practice.

We don’t have to be your CPA for bookkeeping, payroll, income tax returns, etc. We can be the consultant that you rely on to help you evaluate your practice operations and provide you with valuable feedback and advice about your practices key performance indicators and help you in comparing your practice statistics with industry norms.

We know the business of dental practice operations. We have the experience and tools to provide you with the dental practice management reporting you may not be getting from your current CPA. We don’t look to replace those CPA relationships you may have in these situations; we simply want to add that layer for operational assessment that some practices need.

We offer:

During our conferences, we review and provide in depth conversations on your current financial data contained within the Financial Performance Reports. Our depth of knowledge of both general dentistry & specialty practices will provide informative feedback & discussions on how to achieve your business goals. For those clients providing dental production and collection reports, our discussions go even further and involve additional valuable practice analysis such as baseline production objectives, write off rates, and accounts receivable health.

This service is typically for clients who have not engaged us to provide ongoing accounting services. We will review and analyze your financial books and records prior to any planning conference to determine if they are presented in a way that provides the owner with relevant information regarding the operation and performance of the practice. It will also enable us to provide better advice related to income tax planning and projections and any other practice or personal financial planning that needs to be accomplished.

The core of our Dental CPA firm is providing ongoing CPA services. However, with our vast experience and knowledge with the operations of dental practices, whether it’s a general dentistry practice or a specialty practice, we get calls from practice owners with an existing CPA relationship that simply want our help in assessing their practice performance and provide advice in the areas of the practice that may need improvement.

Whether you are a general dentist or specialist, we will compile data from your bookkeeping records and generate reports to help you evaluate the performance of your practice. Our reports encompass a variety of data points in a focused & visually driven format with graphing to help you assess your practice’s financial health using Key Performance Indicators. Working with a wide range of dental practices including specialists allows us to compare your practice to similar practices while also evaluating your practices own trends over time. For those clients who want an even more detailed analysis, we can include data from your practice management software. This takes the analysis one step further providing you with additional information on your production, adjustments, collections, and accounts receivables

This conference occurs at the beginning of the calendar year and is specifically designed to provide a full prior year-to-year comparison to help you make decisions and set goals for the current year. After reviewing your prior full year Financial Performance Reports, we turn our attention to setting production and collection goals and budgeting your current year cash flow. These sessions are the ideal space to focus on practice growth, plans for expanding the practice space or services, and areas of practice overhead that need attention
